LAS InReach-Chili Supper and Information Meeting

  • Fri, February 16, 2018
  • 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM
  • UAC-Urban Astronomy Center

This monthly meeting will be a little different from the usual! At 6:30 PM we will start this LAS InReach Event- Chili served before the meeting!!

A Celebration of the Louisville Astronomical Society featuring Chili from Kingsley's Meat Market, hot drinks, dessert and a short program by President Ken Alderson, LAS Sidewalk Astronomy Chairman Frank Nelson and Observatory Director Ronnie Yates giving you details on upcoming events, our facilities and equipment. Bring your scope and join us! And ask questions. That's what we are here for.

The LAS Urban Astronomy Center is in the Root Cellar Building at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park. The UAC is a 2,000 square foot heated classroom and meeting space plus storage for our telescopes. It features a kitchen, restroom and a four acre observing field in front of the building. A perfect place for you to learn how to use your scope or talk astronomy with the old guys.

This event is FREE. Directions to the UAC are on the LAS website. Please RSVP to LAS President Ken Alderson at megacoach@aol.com by Tuesday, February 13 or call him at 939-0324 with any questions.
